Privacy Policy

In order to complete our mission of passing the Parental Rights Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, ParentalRights.org must gather certain personal information as explained below. We do not sell, rent or lease your personal information to other organizations. (However, we have a sharing arrangement with our sister organization, ParentalRightsFoundation.org.) The information we collect will be used for the internal purposes of ParentalRights.org and to further our mission. Please contact us if you wish to be removed from our mailing list or if you have comments or questions about our privacy policy at info@parentalrights.org.

Why do you need my email address? We use email to mobilize our supporters when you need to contact your representatives. We also send updates and alerts. (You may unsubscribe at any time.)

Why do you need my state and zip code? We ask for your state and zip code to identify your Congressional district.

How old must I be to join the email network? You must be 13 or older to join our email network. The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 2000 prohibits collecting information over the Internet pertaining to children 12 and under, so we set our age limit to avoid collecting any such information.

Do you collect other data? We use Google Analytics (including Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting) to help us gain insights that enable us to better serve our site visitors. Google collects and shares with us anonymous data using “cookies.” You can choose to opt out here.

Similarly, we use other third-party services to track anonymous data. For instance, when a YouTube video is played or a ShareThis button is pressed, those sites collect anonymous data that helps us better know what content to produce or highlight.

In other words, as with most websites, we use standard third-party services, and those services collect and report to us anonymous data that helps us better serve you. Should you not wish to have anonymous data collected, we would recommend turning off cookies while browsing the Internet.

Is your website secure? Our website uses SSL encryption to protect sensitive data transmissions from your computer to our website. You are able to see when the SSL encryption is active on pages by noting the secure https prefix in the webpage url.

We respect your privacy and we will guard yours as we would guard our own.
